Belgotex presents Berber Point 650, a carpeting solution that beautifully blends versatility with cost-effectiveness, living up to Berber Point's stellar reputation for durability and performance. The carpet is constructed with Belgotex's Stainproof Miracle Fibre (Polypropylene), a technology that confers unmatched stain resistance and longevity. Classified for medium and general commercial use, Berber Point 650 is a structured needlepunch carpet that incorporates a mix of Stainproof Miracle Fibre and Stainproof Miracle Fibre Eco in its face fibre. These polypropylene fibres provide both environmental sustainability and superior performance. The carpet is available as broadloom in a standard width of 4.2 meters and as tiles in a standard size of 50x50 cm. Berber Point 650 boasts an overall thickness of approximately 6mm on ResinBac, with a total mass of around 974g/m2 on ResinBac. The carpet passes the fire index rating of 2 (SANS 10177-4) on ResinBac, confirming its resistance to fire hazards. It is also designed to retain color brilliantly, with a light fastness rating of 7 (ISO 105-B02) and a rubbing (both wet and dry) and water fastness rating of 4-5 (ISO 105-X12 and ISO 105-E01 respectively). The carpet offers a static control rating of less than 2 kV (DIN 66095 Part 4), suggesting its capability to minimize static electricity. It has passed VOC testing, indicating that it contributes to healthier indoor air quality. For installation patterns, Berber Point 650 50x50cm & 100x100cm tiles can be laid in a Tessellated pattern, while 25x100cm planks should be installed in a Herringbone pattern. Please note that these custom offerings are not standard, and minimum production quantities apply. Berber Point 650 is available in several appealing colorways including Kelp, Plankton, Rock, and Wet Sand. As with all Belgotex products, the carpet should be installed following the SANS 10186 fitting code of practice, and the use of carpet protector mats is recommended where castor wheels are in use.
